Master. D.P.R.Nissanka,
During the 2nd Word War, in 1936, Mr Don Francisco (My grand father) has studied the traditional martial art When he was aged 12.
After studying the martial art, in 1937, he has become a monk, named '' Sobhitha thero" as all who this martial art was recruited to the army. Sobhitha thero who was practicing as a monk for two three years had to join the military service.
Training "Angampora" for the army soldiers was the his job. The reason to teach Angampora for the soldiers was that an army officer was murdered by an angampora fighter.
With the ending of the world war he retired from the military service, joined the railway department service in 1946. During the 1983-1984 period, he had informed the present teacher to learn this martial art, secretly. While studying that martial art, he has studied Teakwondo in 1990, Gymnastic in 1992, Jeet Kune Do in 1997, Karate in 1998 and Yoga methods in 2000.
The reasons to create the Kayodan martial art were that the traditional martial art learnt from grandfather was not given permission by him to teach to another, traditional martial art could not be practiced in a school; as is it a pressure points attack so parents did not like their children learning it and as the training could only be given to only who were permitted by considering the horoscope.
